Zuhair Murad Autumn/Winter 2019/20 Couture collection PFW show « Mirages and Oasis »

Zuhair Murad presented his 2019/20 Autumn/Winter collection during Paris Fashion Week.

This seasons collection was inspired by the blending of the groovy 70’s and North Africa.

The House’s mission and values which remain continuously followed reference ancient heritages and combine modernity. In order to give the finest experience of elegance Zuhair Murad aims for exquisite quality, glamour, and perfection through the development of his designs.

Therefore, creative director was able to maintain the founding values of the brand and give us a marvelous collection. Dresses ranging from mid to long floor-lengths, Paisley patterns reminding us of the iconic 70s, colors from Emerald green to Scarlet red, hues of orange only seen in sunsets, traditional motifs from Moroccan rugs a technique known by local women.

Finely embroidered blazers some in black allowing glitter and gems to sparkle with the slightest bit of light, magnificent flowing capes rippling in the air with feathered details on the seams, delicate belts with golden accessories hugging long dresses in classic moroccan patterns, light textiles cut to expose legs in an elegant manner, comfortable black velvet pants paired with structured blazers and cinched-in belts.

Looks included Neo-turbans and jackets resembling djellabas worn by men in Marrakech. Bustier dresses with tassles hanging down from delicate belts, Silk taffeta textiles in order to give a voluminous silhouette, high collared bowties and shimmering golden jumpsuits.

Designer Zuhair Murad took us back to the past and gave us a glimpse of a reinvented North African inspired look. The Zuhair Murad woman is modern yet stays true to her heritage and respects the grace in nature.
