NIGHT OUT WHERE FASHION MEETS FANTASY

In the electric after-hours of the city, Yvette Tang’s “NIGHT OUT” unfolds like a lucid dream. From the very first image, Tang invites us into a parallel universe—one where seduction, solitude, and style collide. Notably, this fashion editorial is more than a visual showcase. Instead, it tells a story of freedom, mystery, and self-expression.

Gracie, the editorial’s magnetic muse, captures the essence of the night. She moves between vintage and contemporary looks with effortless power. For instance, one moment she’s wrapped in an archival YSL dress, and the next, she’s in a Dana Foley piece, paired with a bold Dolls Kill harness. These aren’t just outfits—they are personas, styled with radical elegance by Maria Meza.

Furthermore, make-up artist Norah Salazar brings the mood full circle. Through smoky eyes and glowing skin, she creates a look that is raw, real, and impossible to ignore. Every frame feels cinematic. As a result, the viewer is transported—not just watching, but feeling.

The Artist Behind the Lens

Born in Hong Kong and now based in Vancouver, Yvette Tang is not your typical fashion photographer. On the contrary, she is a storyteller, a visual poet, and an unapologetic visionary. Inspired by icons like Yayoi Kusama, Wim Delvoye, and Max Ernst, she builds surreal worlds rooted in personal truth.

Although her background is unconventional—she once studied accounting—her creative fire never faded. Eventually, after attending Emily Carr University, Tang found her true voice in the arts. Today, her work merges fantasy with feminism, softness with strength.

“My art is a love letter to myself,” she declares. “It’s euphoric, addictive, and it cuts deep.”

Through “NIGHT OUT”, Tang redefines the night not as an escape, but as a space of power. Ultimately, this is an editorial for those who dare to be seen, who thrive in the darkness, and who use fashion as their loudest voice.
