Upcycling: also known as creative reuse, is the process of transforming by-products, waste materials, useless, or unwanted products into new materials or products of better quality and environmental value.
This season Andrea Crews energized the iconic Palais the Tokyo with its unique Spring Summer 2020 collection. The brand is highly committed to bring ecologically friendly products to the public as well as spreading conscience about the damages that modern society causes to the environment.
The collection presented a very interest contrast of elements wich included vibrant reconstructed streetwear pieces along with hand-made flower prints and buckets of flowers. The mood of the show evoked a sort of post-apocalyptic renaissance story, nature emerging from the ruins of an industrialized metropolis.
The show also included a group of skateboarder kids rolling around the runway, which alluded to the Palais the Tokyo as one of the most iconic skateboarding meeting places in Paris.
