This year On Aura Tout Vu gave us the chance to dive into the world of myths, combined with Japanese, Greek and British influences. Sculpted silhouettes of goddesses from the sea in rich Japanese silks from the Tango region and marquetry of mother of pearl detailing bring to life the Japanese fables about "Otohime" daughter of Ryujin, the Dragon King of the Sea, and the Greek Queen, Aphrodite, goddess of love.
On Aura Tout Vu emphasized the silhouette of women but also gave them strength by using wide shoulders and high collars. The collection is elegant and beautiful but at the same time vigorous and strong. We see asymmetries, detailed gloves and half masks.
In recent years we have have expected great theatrics from On Aura Tout Vu. We see them as putting art before fashion and we look forward to seeing what Livia Stoianova and Yassen Samouilov will come up with next. This collection is no less creative but it is in the subtle details. Every piece is exquisit and also compliments the female form.
