The Y/Project Homme AW17 Collection shows a combination of hip hop and romantic vibes. This season Glenn Martens focusses on the silhouette. He mixes old and new cuts. Martens shows historical references to royalty combined with today's hip hop icons.
Martens impresses by taking classic and very common clothes, such as a checkered shirt and normal jeans, and giving them a very different cut. As is the trend he uses the oversize look but in a new and innovative way. He makes his pants very long with wires so that they give cool and unique waves. Martens does the same with the sleaves of the over sized coats.
Martens mixes the same color in one outfit but makes it still colorful by using different materials. He shows the diversity of one colour and make it shine in many ways. He impresses by the beautiful colors he has chosen and how good they match in one outfit but also together in the whole collection. Every style is very unique but still has a clarity in its appearance.
