KITKAT IN THE MIX
HOW EKATERINA GAYDUKOVA AKA KITKAT IS TURNING THE BEAT OF HER LIFE
From high fashion to high energy, Female DJ Ekaterina Gaydukova better known by her DJ alias, KITKAT is reshaping what it means to be a modern muse. The former model turned international DJ is known for her deep, groovy sets, casual-cool style, and fearless take on femininity in a male-dominated scene.
Her rise was anything but conventional and that’s exactly the point.
From Mixtapes to Mixers
“Music has always been my passion,” she says, her voice warm with nostalgia. As a teenager, she was the type to obsess over playlists, make mixtapes, and belt out pop ballads for fun. But her turning point came after a move to Europe.
While traveling for modeling gigs, Gaydukova fell hard for the underground electronic scene especially house music. Friends quickly noticed she had an ear for curating mood and rhythm. “Everyone loved the music I played when we were hanging out,” she recalls. “So I made a few sets on SoundCloud just for fun.”
It was during a shoot for IRK Magazine that destiny slid into the frame. “I played my mix on set and you asked me to DJ at L’Arc in Paris,” she laughs. “Six years later, I’m still here. That moment changed everything.”
Model to Musician: KITKAT Natural Remix
The runway-to-club transition wasn’t jarring. In fact, it felt seamless. “Modeling helped—being on stage, in the spotlight, constantly traveling. It gave me confidence,” KITKAT says. Still, she had doubts. “I worried people would just see me as a model who DJs. But over time, I realized being multi-dimensional is exactly what clients and fans are looking for.”
And it turns out, her dual career makes her a magnet for today’s fashion-meets-music generation.
The KITKAT Sound: Sexy, Deep, and Danceable
KITKAT’s early sets were rooted in slower, organic sounds with Eastern flavors. But as her style evolved, she leaned into deep house, tech house, and minimal, inspired by electronic icons from the early 2010s—Jamie Jones, Lee Foss, Maceo Plex, Miguel Campbell.
Her current vibe? “Groovy, sensual, danceable,” she says. “I want to move people—emotionally and physically.” When it comes to reading the room, KITKAT relies on instinct. “You can’t predict how a crowd will feel. I don’t over-prepare. I start slow and go with the flow.”
Style Behind the Decks: Understated and Unapologetic
Fashion still plays a role but comfort now trumps couture. “Elegant and casual, always,” she says. “No high heels. I need to move.” As KITKAT, she feels a sense of freedom. “Unlike modeling, DJing lets me be 100% myself. The focus is on energy, not appearance.”
KITKAT Career Highs and Shared Stages
Among her proudest moments? Sharing the booth with Spanish deep-house legend Pablo Bolivar at Solarium in Paris. “He’s been a huge inspiration since I started. Meeting him in real life, let alone playing next to him was surreal.”
Whether spinning in Europe or beyond, her mission is clear: “I want to make people dance, take them on a journey, and leave them with good energy.”
Coming Soon: An EP, A Label, and a Legacy
KITKAT isn’t slowing down. She’s in the studio now, finalizing tracks for her debut EP. “Two songs are done. I’m super happy with how they turned out,” she shares. Big gigs are also on the horizon, though she’s keeping details under wraps for now.
In the long run? “I want to become a strong producer, start my own label, and help new talent break into the scene.”
Speaking Truth: The Reality of Being a Female DJ
While her rise has been impressive, it hasn’t been without its struggles. “The DJ world is still very sexist,” she says candidly. “People don’t take your talent seriously. Some try to take advantage. Some can’t stand a woman being successful in their space.”
KITKAT’s response? Spin louder. Shine brighter.
Words to Live By
To aspiring Female DJs or models: “Be your own biggest fan. Stay true to yourself, no matter what people say. And be disciplined. Mistakes happen, but they’re part of the journey.”
KITKAT’s career is more than just beats and bookings. It’s a rebellion, a love letter to music, and a blueprint for reinvention. She’s not just playing music, she’s changing the tempo of the industry, one track at a time.

One day when I was barely two my mom let me push her out of her bedroom. She was curious so she ran outside the house so she could watch me through the window. I climbed up on a chair by her vanity and started putting on her makeup. I loved playing dress up as a kid. Putting on my mom's sequin tube tops and high heeled shoes and then putting on a dance show in the lobby or the restaurant of the hotel/residence we lived in. It was the best childhood ever. Dress-up, dancing, playing with barbies, and drawing were my favorite things to do. I have not changed one bit today. If I am creating I am happy.
Now I am in Paris for the second time in my life and I am having a ball playing with my partner in crime Julien Crouigneau. We founded IRK Magazine together in 2015 and we are proud to collaborate with some amazing artists, and influencers.
We are also a photography duo under the pseudonym French Cowboy. We love to tell stories and create poetic images that are impactful.
